There were some very positive reviews on this road bike helmet. Many reviewers felt it looks good on my head too, and not like a watermelon like so many others.

One reviewer stated that this helmet fits great and flows tons of air. I ride in South Carolina where summer temps are routinely in the mid to high 90′s with 60% to 70% relative humidity. I can honestly say that after riding two hours plus I have forgotten the helmet was on! On top of the comfort factor, you can actually adjust the headband easily while riding. This level of comfort is well worth the price.

Another reviewer stated this helmet is amazingly light and very comfortable. In fact, I have never felt a helmet this comfortable. I’ve owned numerous Giro helmets in the past and this one is the best ever. what adds to its amazing comfort is its chinstraps which are light, thin, but strong. once you have it strapped, you hardly know its there. aesthetically, this helmet is very attractive. It has a very nice low and shapely profile which is a joy to look at. More importantly though, it actually looks good on the head. This was the first time I ever looked in the mirror while wearing a helmet and didn’t see an egghead staring back at me.

This reviewer said I tried many helmets and the Giro Aeon is the best I have ever found. It fits great with many adjustments. It’s light (222 grams in medium), comfortable, and well ventilated. The workmanship is excellent, with quality straps and removable padding that can go through a washing machine. I’m on my second Aeon, the first one having done its job in a major crash, with the helmet staying firmly in place and absorbing the blow when my head hit the pavement. The Giro Aeon may cost a bit more than other helmets, but it is well worth the price.
